About Prismo

Background
Prismo deals with software usability, user-centered design, interaction design, mobile services and banking, Mac and Palm software, user interface and Web design, colors and browser surveys. Prismo is a non profit organization sponsored by Marcel Büchi from Switzerland.
Marcel is the head of Prismo and currently a member of:
- Software Ergonomics special interest group (Swiss CHI, SI)
- Macintosh Users Switzerland (MUS)
- Apple Developer Connection (ADC)
- Palm OS Developer Program (PalmSource)
Prismo was founded in 1993 by Marcel, Ruth, Daniel and Claudia on the occasion of the SBC Management Cups and is present on the Internet since 24 May 1995. Marcel was appointed to the very first Chief Usability Officer (CUO), Chief User Experience Officer (CUXO) and Chief Experience Officer (CXO) of the world. Congratulations and work hard as an interaction designer for a great user experience!
Prismo or its partners do currently not held any investement in Apple Computer, Inc. (AAPL) or Palm, Inc. (PALM).
Projects
The future at www.prismo.ch looks bright. Planned projects and activities are:
- iBanking: Design study of how modern banking and financial services with a touchscreen interface for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad should lool like (TouchBank, iBank, iMoney). Swiss banking newly invented.
- Chromachron software for Apple's Mac OS X, iPhone, iPod touch and the brand new iPad (implementation with Xcode, Cocoa and maybe Quartz).
- Prismo Finance: The stylish big brother of the mobile financial information portal.
- Database powered stock market data and RSS news channels (with instrument and headline search).
- MyLists: View and manage your personal quote lists. See preview for users on the go.
- iPortfolio (iPortfolioManager or iQuoteList) and iCurrencyConverter (iCurrency, iForex or iConverter): Mac OS X software for managing stock market portfolios, quote lists as well as full quotes (iQuote, iStock: summary, price details, news, chart and historical data) and a currency converter (Cocoa based development, multilingual).
- Chromachron accessory: Dashboard Widget of the color-time clock for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger).
- FutureBank: Banking and financial services of the future for clients with wireless devices.
- Mac news and information portal about the Macintosh universe and Apple highlights as Mac OS X or the iPod (macstar.ch, macuser.ch).
- Science fiction site with Star Wars content (leia.ch).
- Web site about the usability and design of Web applications (usableweb.ch).

I search for an U.S. English or International English Software Install and Restore Disc for an Apple Macintosh 15-inch PowerBook G4 1.0 GHz Titanium (so called TiBook) to boot with an English Mac OS 9.2 (US or international). The PowerBook G4 15" DVD version 1.0 (2003) contains Mac OS X version 10.2.3 (Jaguar) and Mac OS version 9.2.2 (Classic). Please send your offer to Prismo.
