For TFT-LCD displays the optimal or native resolution and for CRT monitors are typical settings are shown, which can differ according to the used graphics card. Resolutions smaller than 800 by 600 pixel are no longer accounted.

The viewable screen size of cathode ray tube displays is mostly smaller, than the value for the diagonal specified by the manufacturer (e.g. a 17 inch CRT screen has a viewable diagonal of only 16 inch). To the table of contents
